Positive Affirmations for Type 1 Diabetics or Type 2 Diabetics

In the spirit of the law of attraction, I try to use very general positive affirmations to improve my overall health and type 1 diabetes.  Because this is a sensitive topic for me, as it probably would be with anyone, I have learned over time to just try to be as happy as I can, live in the moment, and enjoy life.

In the book, You Can Heal Your Life, Louise Hay says that diabetes is caused by not realizing the sweetness in life, which I take to mean as not living in the moment, or by complaining and therefore, not praising what good things ARE abundantly available.

So, here are some things to remind yourself if you would like to heal from either type of diabetes, remembering that you must EXPECT IT, DESIRE IT, AND BELIEVE THAT IT WILL HAPPEN.  If you have limiting beliefs in any of these three topics, you will not achieve your goal. But, if you really expect to heal, you desire it greatly, and then also believe that it will happen (as it has for so many of BOTH types) then it will–as long as you don’t offer a lot of resistance around healing.

“I am happy with where I am at, and I am choosing healthier thoughts and feelings every day.  I am on a really interesting journey, learning about myself, my body, and how my thoughts and feelings create my physical reality.  I know that I am connected to my higher power, and I can easily access the most loving and appreciative thoughts.  I continue to grow each day into the person I wish to be…”

“Every day, I love finding lots of things I appreciate and love about myself, and I’m going to spend some time just thinking about those things now…(do this on your own but keep it general)…I love how I’ve overcome lots of obstacles only to find success, I appreciate how good I feel outside and in nature.  I so enjoy looking at the trees and flowers, and seeing animals.  They always make me feel so good.  I love the smell of the ocean, the smell of forests, the feeling of sitting under a tree on a warm day, and the crisp autumn air.  I love knowing that my appreciation helps me feel good, but also helps anyone who notices it as well.”

“I know that my current physical conditions (whatever they may be) are temporary, and that feeling better and thinking better comes easily to me.  My life force is strong, and flows easily, just like breathing air, in and out.  Just like drinking pure water, I am filled with the divine presence, I know the feeling of the divine because whenever I feel appreciative, I am on the highest vibration, the one of love.  The more I love and appreciate myself and others, I am there!  I am ready to allow more good into my life.  I am ready to consistently and happily allow fun, freedom, and joy into my experience.”

“I know that all of the cells of my body know what to do.  Each day for a while, I’m going to get up and find good things to notice and be thankful for.  As I praise each of these things or people, I grow stronger and stronger in every way.  I praise all of the abundance in my life, not just one area.  I praise myself, my family, friends, community, health, job, home, car, bank accounts, money, opportunities, so that I realize the true nature of each and grow in each topic. I praise my past, my present, my future, and I send love to all of them.”

“I praise all that IS working right within my body.  I praise my back, my legs, my arms, my hands, my feet, my organs, my heart, my lungs, my skin, my hearing, my eyesight, my hair, my everything.  I appreciate how my body easily takes care of my needs, breathing, pumping blood, elimination, reproduction, digestion, thinking…etc…It feels good to be in this body.  It feels good to move, to walk, run, sit, stand, or whatever I need.  I am so happy and appreciative that I can move the way I do in my body.”

“I praise all that I drink and eat before I consume my food.  I am in a happy place before I eat, so that my body receives all the good it deserves.  I am thankful about the pure water I am so fortunate to have, and for the delicious food that is made with love and filled with goodness.  I am thankful to eat in solitude or to enjoy a meal with friends or family or others. All is well.  All is well. All is well.  Every day, and in every way, I am getting better and better.”

“I completely trust that I am wellness and that I am always moving into more wellness.  I know that source has my back and I just have to feel good,  and not resist so much.  I know it’s easy to pivot into a better feeling thought when I need to.  Now that I understand how to focus, I am easily allowing my highest good to flow into me.  As I feel better, I’ll know the next step I should take.  I don’t have to know everything right now, but I know I will be inspired as I move toward wellness.  It’s just like driving a car, I get in it, and if I go west, I know I could get to California. Source is guiding me, and I am listening.  Source is loving me and I accept it. Source is appreciating me and my expansion, and I am happy to expand as well.”

Specifically, if you are a type 2 diabetic, you may want to just leave diabetes out of the equation altogether, and just enjoy life, focusing on improving your overall happiness level. When you do this, you will see you will need less medication, and will likely be able to get off of medications. Improve your own self-image by praising the wonderful and unique person you are, focusing on your gifts and how you love to bring them to the world.

Now, please realize that diabetes is not just about food or medication!  It is completely and totally about loving yourself, and finding things to praise, rather than criticize.  Forgive yourself and others.  Be more unconditional.  Get inspired to help a cause or just be kind one moment at a time.  Your overall health depends on it, as more relaxed people are allowing the stream of wellness to flow easily than uptight people (who are resisting change or life).
